The whole world is suffering at the moment and my heart weeps. My hope is that humanity will learn from this crisis and create a positive shift to care for one another in the future.
A few years ago I completed your beautiful life school but life got in the way of implementing my learning.
As a nurse in the U.K. (Scotland) my stress levels are running high. To help with this I have recently gone back to your teachings and listen to your podcasts every day after work. Your heartwarming and inspiring wisdom give me light in a world gone dark. Thank you Cynthia for all that you do. Be safe. Alison xx

Thank you for your reply and for asking what would be supportive at this time. The subjects of guilt and shame keep rearing their ugly heads! Guilt because I feel I should be doing more to help others at this time and Shame because I am scared for myself and resent those who can stay at home and be safe. These are Unprofessional feelings feelings which go against all my values and sense of integrity, and I wish they would go away.
These may however, be interesting subjects to explore as there may be others experiencing similar feelings for different reasons.
I love your honesty. We all grapple with feelings we disapprove of. It’s good self-care to recognize that and give yourself a break, instead of feeling bad for feeling bad. I wonder what you would say to a dear friend who came to you feeling the same. I suspect you might feel the way I feel about you which is deep understanding, empathy, and acknowledging that I’ve felt this way too. A quote comes to mind from David Hawkins, The Power of Letting Go, “A feeling not resisted will dissipate”. He teaches to be aware of the feeling, let it come up, stay with it, don’t judge it, or analyze it, let it run its course. Simply let it be there and focus on letting the energy behind it out. I’m sending you hugs and understanding.
