Boundaries! We all need them. They shape our happiness, success and the quality of our relationships. When you say yes to one thing, you’re also saying no to something else. When the motive for your agreement is what they will think of you, you betray yourself. When you intervene to shield someone from the natural consequences of their actions, you rob them of learning the lesson and becoming self reliant, and you burden yourself. When you’re on the precipice of breaking through to a new level in your career/business, and you allow every challenge or crisis you encounter to claim your attention and energy, you sabotage your success. When you define and live by your boundaries you make your dreams imminent, train others how to treat you, and filter out those who love you for your compliance instead of for you.
Oh yes, boundaries are vital. The most empowering boundaries are the ones you choose, rather than accept from society or the edicts of others.
